   TEKTRONIX 466   Description / Specification:
TEKTRONIX 466 2 Ch 100 MHz Oscilloscope

The Tektronix 466 100 MHz Dual-Trace Oscilloscope specifications. Bandwidth: Dc to 100 MHz, <=3.5 ns. Deflection Factor: 5mV/div to 5V/div in 10 calibrated steps, (1-2-5 sequence); accurate within 3%; continuously variable between steps and to approximately 12.5 volts/div. Maximum Input Voltage: Dc Coupled; 250 V (dc + peak ac), 500 V (p-p ac at 1 kHz or less), Ac Coupled; 500 V (dc + peak ac), 500 V p-p (ac at 1 kHz or less). Time Base A: 0.05, us/div to 0.5 s/div in 22 calibrated steps (1-2-5 sequence). X10 MAG extends maximum sweep rate to 5 ns/div. Time Base B: 0.05, us/div to 50 ms/div in 19 calibrated steps (1-2-5 sequence). X10 MAG extends maximum sweep rate to 5 ns/div. Calibrated Sweep Delay: Continuously variable from 0.2 us to at least 5 seconds. Triggering: A Trigger Modes; Normal (sweep runs when triggered), Automatic (sweep free-runs in the absence of a triggering signal), Single Sweep (sweep runs one time on the first triggering event after the reset selector is pressed). B Trigger Modes; B Runs After Delay Time (starts automatically at the end of the delay time), B Triggerable After Delay Time (runs when triggered), the B (delayed) sweep runs once, in each of these modes, following the A sweep delay time. X-Y Operation: Full-sensitivity X-Y (CH 1 Horiz, CH 2 Vert)- 5 mV/div to 5 V/div in 10 calibrated steps, accurate within 4%. Bandwidth is dc to at least 4 MHz. CRT: Internal graticule with variable illumination; 8 x 10 div, 0.9 cm/div (normal) ; 8 x 10 div, 0.45 cm/div (reduced scan).

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
