BK PRECISION 1672 Triple Output DC Power Supply

The B&K Precision 1672 is a quad display triple output DC power supply that provide two variable outputs and one fixed output. The variable outputs can work independently, in series tracking, or parallel mode. Conveniently adjust voltage and current with independent front panel knobs and bright quad LED display. Accessible through a simple push/pull switch, the 1672’s unique series and parallel tracking features let you easily double the output voltage or current. For achieving even higher voltages or current, multiple units can be connected in series or parallel. The 1672 is designed to operate in a constant voltage or a constant current mode with automatic crossover, allowing continuous transition from constant current to constant voltage modes in response to load condition changes. Specifications. Number of Outputs: Three (2 variable, 1 fixed). Range: 0 to 32 VDC / 0 to 3 A (variable), and 5 V / 3 A (fixed). Constant Voltage (CV) Mode Line Regulation: < 0.01% + 5 mV. CV Mode Load Regulation: < 0.2% + 10 mV. CV Ripple & Noise: <1 mVrms. Constant Current (CC) Mode Line Regulation: <0.2% + 5 mA. Constant Current (CC) Mode Load Regulation: <0.2% + 8 mA. CC Ripple & Noise: <3 mArms. Slave Tracking Error: < 0.5%+3 digits of the master. 5V Fixed Output Voltage Accuracy: 5 V ± 0.25 V. Display Voltage: 3 digits 0.56” Green LED. Display Current: 3 digits 0.56” Red LED. Display Accuracy: <0.1% + 3 digits.

dBc
dBc (decibels relative to the carrier) is the power ratio of a signal to a carrier signal, expressed in decibels. If the dBc figure is positive, then the relative signal strength is greater than the carrier signal strength. If the dBc figure is negative, then the relative signal strength is less than carrier signal strength.

Load Regulation
Load regulation is the capability to maintain a constant voltage (or current) level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes in the supply's load (such as a change in resistance value connected across the supply output).

Power Linearity
When changing the power level and measuring the differences (in dB) between actual and displayed power levels, the power linearity is ± half the span (in dB) between the maximum and the minimum value of all differences.

Settling Time
Settling time of an output device is the time elapsed from the application of an ideal instantaneous step input to the time at which the amplifier output has entered and remained within a specified error band, usually symmetrical about the final value.
