ILX LIGHTWAVE LCM-39427 500 mA Laser Diode Driver, 12 W TEC Combination Module

The ILX Lightwave LCM-39427 Current Source/TE Controller Module is a precision laser controller (current source and temperature controller) module for use in the LDC- 3900 Modular Laser Diode Controller. The integrated laser diode current source provides up to 500mA of high stability low noise current output with integrated laser diode protection circuits. Standard current source features include constant current, constant power operation modes, and analog modulation. The LCM-39427 also includes a 12W thermoelectric temperature controller that is compatible with thermistor, IC and RTD temperature sensors providing convenience and flexibility over a broad range of temperature control applications. Multimode Fiber
Multimode Fiber has a large core (almost always 62.5 microns - a micron is one one millionth of a meter - but sometimes 50 microns) and is used with LED sources at wavelengths of 850 and 1300 nm for short distance, lower speed networks like LANs.
