ARROYO 6305 500 mA Laser Diode Driver, 60 W TEC ComboSource

The Arroyo 6305 ComboSource (Laser Driver 500 mA / 250 mA, 10 Volt / Temperature Controller 5 Amp, 12 Volt, 60 Watt) offers excellent low current performance, with both a 500 mA and 250 mA operating range, making it suitable for very low power applications, such as VCSEL and low power signal diodes. With 10 uA set point resolution and less than 4 uA of noise, the 6305 provides a transparent driver that won't interfere with the performance of your laser or LED devices. One of the valable features of the 6305 is the dual range capability, which allows operation in either a 250 mA range or 500 mA range. The 6305 optically and electrically isolates it's isolated inputs and outputs, preventing device-damaging ground loops. The 6301 adds a 60 watt temperature controller. Specifications. Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG)
A fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is a type of distributed Bragg reflector constructed in a short segment of optical fiber that reflects particular wavelengths of light and transmits all others. This is achieved by adding a periodic variation to the refractive index of the fiber core, which generates a wavelength specific dielectric mirror. A fiber Bragg grating can therefore be used as an inline optical filter to block certain wavelengths, or as a wavelength-specific reflector.

Modulation
Modulation is the process by which the characteristic of one wave (the carrier) is modified by another. Adding information into pulses of light.

Power Linearity
When changing the power level and measuring the differences (in dB) between actual and displayed power levels, the power linearity is ± half the span (in dB) between the maximum and the minimum value of all differences.
