Keysight (Agilent) 70340A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 70340A 20 GHz Synthesized Signal Generator, MMS

The HP 70340A Synthesized Signal Generator for 70000 Modular Measurement System (MMS), 4/8-width module delivers superior signal purity. Harmonics are suppressed above 55 dBc while other spurious signals are reduced below -60 dBc. Subharmonic signals are completely eliminated. Excellent output power accuracy (±2 dB) and flatness (±0.5 dB) are maintained across the entire> 100 dB dynamic range and the full frequency range of the HP 70340A, even at temperature extremes. The HP 70340A combines superior internal level accuracy and flatness with the flexibility of User Level Correction. This feature allows you to calibrate and program the signal generator output for automatic leveled power at distant test ports. Four level correction tables can be stored in memory for quick access as the system is reconfigured for different DUTs or test scenarios. Specifications. Frequency Range: 1 to 20 GHz. Frequency Resolution: 1 kHz, 1 Hz with Option 1E8. Leveled output power (with Option 1E1 installed): 10 MHz to 1 GHz +13 to -90 dBm, 1 GHz to 18 GHz +10 to -90 dBm, 18 GHz to 20 GHz +8 to -90 dBm. Resolution: 0.01 dB. Accuracy: ±2 dB (all frequencies, power levels and temperatures). Flatness: ±0.5 dB. Hannonlcs: < -55 dBc. Sub-harmonics: None. Non-harmonic spurious: -60 dBc. Options. 1E1, add output step attenuator. 1E2, add internal pulse modulation source. 1E8, add 1 Hz frequency resolution. 1E9, 3.5 mm RF output connector.

dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
