Keysight (Agilent) 81689A 1525 to 1575 nm Compact Tunable Laser Module

The Agilent 81689A Compact Tunable Laser Source Module for use with Agilent 8163A/B Lightwave Multimeter, Agilent 8164A/B Lightwave Measurement System, and Agilent 8166A/B Lightwave Multichannel System. The Agilent 81689A allows a realistic multi-channel Lest bed for DWDM transmission systems to be set up. Its continuous, mode-hop free tuning makes it quick and easy to set even the most complex configurations to the target wavelengths and power levels, jusL by dialing or using the vernier keys. The Agilent 81689A is available wi th both standard single-mode fiber and Panda-type PMF. Specifications. Wavelength Range: 1525 nm to 1575 nm. Wavelength resolution: 0.01 nm, 1.25 GHz at 1550 nm. Tuning speed (typical): < 10 sec / 50 nm. Absolute wavelength accuracy: ± 0.3 nm. Relative wavelength accuracy: ± 0.3 nm. Wavelength repeatability: ± 0.05 nm. Wavelength stability: ± 0.02 nm (typ. 24 hrs at constant temperature). Output power (continuous power on during tuning): = 6 dBm (1525 - 1575 nm). Minimum output power: -3 dBm. Options. Polarization Dependent Loss is the difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss due to the variation of the polarization states of light propagating through a device. PDL is expressed in decibels. Calculated by; PDL = 10 log10 (Ep/Es), where EP and ES are the measured diffraction efficiencies for P- and S-plane polarized incident light, respectively.

Return Loss (RL)
Return Loss (RL) is the ratio of the incident power to the reflected power expressed in dB. RL = 10log (Pin/Pback)

Wavelength Resolution
Wavelength Resolution is the smallest possible displayed wavelength increment/decrement.
