Keysight (Agilent) 83650A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 83650A 50 GHz Synthesized Sweeper

The HP 83650A synthesized sweeper is the standard of excellence for applications requiring the high performance and accuracy of a synthesized source and the speed and versatility of a sweep oscillator. Synthesized broadband frequency coverage and precise 1 Hz frequency resolution (Option 008) are generated by indirect synthesis, enabling the HP 83650A to achieve low single-sideband phase noise performance. The HP 83650A delivers excellent harmonic performance with harmonics at least 50 dB below the carrier from 2.2 to 20 GHz. High-performance pulse modulators with >80 dB on/off ratio and rise/fall times < 10 ns (Option 006), make the HP 83650A suitable for the most demanding pulse modulation applications. In addition to its linear AM mode (100%/V), the HP 83650A offers a scan modulation mode (10 dB/V). Both modes have dc-coupled amplitude modulation capability with a 3 dB bandwidth of 100 kHz. and 99.7% (50 dB) of modulation depth, Pulse and amplitude modulation capabilities can be used independently and simultaneously. The HP 83650A also offers dc-coupled frequency modulation capabilities with rates up to 8 MHz. Specifications. Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 50 GHz. Resolution: 1 kHz standard, 1 Hz optional. RF Output Range: +20 to -110 dBm with Opt 001. Resolution: 0.02 dB. Maximum Leveled Power: + 10 dBm. Pulse modulation On/off ratio: > 80 dB. Rise and fall times: <25 ns (< 10 ns optional). Minimum internally leveled RF pulse width: < 1us. Minimum RF pulse width: <50 ns (15 ns with Opt 006). Scan and amplitude modulation Rates (3dB BW): dc to 100 kHz. Depth: 0 to 90% (20 dB) aIld 0 to 99.7% (50 dB) above 10 Hz. Sensitivity: 100%/V and 10 dB/V. Frequency modulation Locked mode Modulation rate (3 dB BW, 500 kHz deviation): 100 kHz to 8 MHz. Maximum deviations: 8 MHz. Options. Opt 001: Add Step Attenuator. Opt 002: Internal Modulation Generator. Opt 003: Delete Front Panel Keyboard/Display. Opt 004: Rear Panel RF Output. Opt 006: Fast Pulse Modulation. Opt 008:1 Hz Frequency Resolution. Opt 700: Mate System Compatibility.

RF Connector Replacement
Damaged or broken connector (2.4mm) on your microwave signal source or spectrum analyzer? OEM won't sell the replacement to you? Custom-Cal has the solution.  Want the connector moved from the from to rear on your signal source, this service is also the solution to undo the obsolete Model # -0041 (RF output connector moved to rear panel)
The input and output connectors on your microwave test equipment affects more than signal fidelity. A damaged connector will destroy expensive adapters and cables.
Whether your RF connector is worn out or was broken through mishandling or accident, Custom-Calibration Solutions will replace the OEM connector with a refurbished connector and new hard-line and bracket, as appropriate. The refurbished connector system will improve:
Signal fidelity (flatness or frequency response)
 Input reflection (VSWR)
 Output impedance match
 Measurement repeatability
 Ease of connection
 Cable and adapter life

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
