Keysight (Agilent) 70902A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 70902A 3 MHz IF Section, MMS

The HP 70902A intermediate frequency (IF) section provides signal processing elements required for the spectrum analyzers, lightwave signal analyzers, and the GSM testers. It 1/8-width module for 70000 Modular Measurement System (MMS). The HP 70902A provides narrow resolution bandwidths, from 10 Hz to 300 kHz. Maximize measurement speed using 10% incremental bandwidths. Wider bandwidths offer the most speed, whereas narrow bandwidths offer more resolution and sensitivity. The 10% incremental bandwidth steps offer you the best choice of bandwidth sizes. The bandwidths can also be changed in a 1, 3, 10 sequence. Calibrated logging amplifiers provide superb amplitude accuracy for the analyzers. Four detection modes are available to properly display a variety of signals. Auxiliary video output: BNC (f), 0-1 V, 1 kohm (nominal), front panel. 3 MHz IF output (linear): BNC (f), 50 ohm, 1.5:1 VSWR (nominal), front panel. Output power: -15 dBm nominal with -10 dBm RF input, 0 dB attn and -10 dBm reference level. Limited IF output: 5MB (m) , ± 0.5 Vp-p (nominal), rear panel.

Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Harmonic
A harmonic of a wave is a component frequency of the signal that is an integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, i.e. if the fundamental frequency is f, the harmonics have frequencies 2f, 3f, 4f, . . . etc.

Phase Noise
Phase noise is the frequency domain representation of rapid, short-term, random fluctuations in the phase of a waveform, caused by time domain instabilities. Phase noise (L(f)) is typically expressed in units of dBc/Hz, representing the noise power relative to the carrier contained in a 1 Hz bandwidth centered at a certain offsets from the carrier.
