Keysight (Agilent) 8901A Modulation Analyzer

The HP 8901A modulation analyzer combines the capabilities of several RF instruments to give complete, accurate characterization of modulated signals in the 150 kHz to 1300 MHz frequency range. Both instruments very accurately measure modulation and recover the modulation signal. They determine RF frequency and measure RF power. RF Input Frequency range: 150 kHz to 1300 MHz. RF Input Operating level: 12 mV rms to 7 V rms. RF Input impedance: 50 ohm nominal. Frequency Modulation Rates: 20 Hz to 200 kHz. Frequency Modulation Deviations: to 400 kHz. FM Accuracy: ±2% of reading ± 1 digit, 20 Hz to 10 kHz rates, 250 kHz to 10 MHz. ± 1 % of reading ± 1 digit, 50 Hz to 100 kHz rates, 10 MHz to 1300 MHz. Phase Modulation Carrier frequency: 10 MHz to 1300 MHz. Phase Modulation Rates: 200 Hz to 20 kHz; typically usable from 20 Hz to 100 kHz with degraded performance. Phase Modulation Deviation: to 400 radians. Amplitude Modulation Rates: 20 Hz to 100 kHz. Amplitude Modulation Depth: to 99%. Amplitude Modulation Accuracy: ±2% of reading ± 1 digit, 50 Hz to 10 kHz rates, 150 kHz to 10 MHz. ± 1 % of reading ± 1 digit, 50 Hz to 50 kHz rates, 10 MHz to 1300 MHz. Frequency Counter Range: 150 kHz to 1300 MHz. Frequency Counter Accuracy: ±3 counts of least significant digit ± reference accuracy. Options. Opt 001: RF connectors on rear panel only. Opt 002: 1 x 10^-9 / day internal reference. Opt 003: Connections for external local oscillator. Opt 004: Operation from 48 to 440 Hz power (Temp. <40°C). Opt 010: AM and FM calibrators.

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the Keysight (Agilent) 8901A. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Adjacent Channel Power
Adjacent Channel Power is the power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.
