KEITHLEY 7402 Thermocouple Scanner Card

The Keithley 7402 Nine Channel Thermocouple Scanner Card permits monitoring of up to nine thermocouples or other transducers. The nine signal channels use a guarded 2-pole configuration. An isothermal block provides electrical isolation up to 42 V while assuring excellent thermal conductivity between cold junction terminations. A sensing device mounted in the isothermal block monitors the cold junction and outputs a calibrated reference voltage that is linearly related to the temperature. Specifications. Number of Channels: 9. Card Configuration: Multiplexer. Contact Configuration: 2 form A. Maximum Voltage: 110 V. Maximum Current: 1 A. Maximum Power: 60 VA. Contact Potential: <1 uV. Contact Life: >10^8 closures cold switching; >10^6 closures at maximum signal levels. Connection Type: Screw terminal. Temperature Offset: ±0.05° C maximum from HI to LO of any channel or between any two adjacent channels in one column on the isothermal block. ±0.1° C maximum between any two terminals on the isothermal block. Maximum additional dynamic offset due to 10°C step change in environment: ±0.1°C after one hour settling. Reference Output: +200 uV/C (+54.63 mV at 0°C).

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
