   ADVANTEST R3477   Description / Specification:
ADVANTEST R3477 13.5 GHz RF Spectrum Analyzer

The Advantest R3477 is a high performance 13.5 GHz spectrum analyzer that offers a 25 MHz analysis bandwidth as standard and are suited for the evaluation of 3GPP (HSDPA), CDMA2000, EVDO, WLAN devices, as well as the development, installation and maintenance of base stations. Employing unique and innovative technology, the R3477 achieves a wide dynamic range. This dynamic range means that no other equipment is required to easily perform the spurious emissions measurement specified in the 3GPP measurement standard "Category B". This spectrum analyzer also contributes to greater measurement efficiency with a high-speed modulation analysis throughput that is ten times that of previous models. Level accuracy is also double that of previous models, to support the measurement uncertainty required by 3GPP. The R3477 provides not only USB but also GPIB and LAN ports as standard interfaces, making it easy to save measurement results to a high-capacity USB memory and process and analyze them using a PC. Specifications. Frequency range: 9 kHz to 13.5 GHz. Frequency span: 20 Hz to 13.5GHz and zero span. Span accuracy: <±1%. Resolution bandwidth: 1Hz to 10 MHz. Frequency reference stability: 5 × 10^-8/day. SSB phase noise: -100 dBc/Hz (10kHz offset). Maximum input level: +30 dBm. Average display noise level: -156 dBm/Hz typ. (@2GHz, Preamp off), -168 dBm/Hz typ. (@1GHz Preamp on). TOI: >+21 dBm (1 GHz - 2 GHz). 1dB gain compressor: >+7 dBm(Preamp off, 200 MHz to 3.3 GHz). Sweep time: 2 ms to 2000 s (at frequency sweep), 1 µs to 6000 s (at Zero Span).

Adjacent Channel Power
Adjacent Channel Power is the power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.
