AEMC 3711 Clamp-On Ground Resistance Tester

The AEMC 3711 Clamp-on Ground Resistance Tester measures ground rod and small grid resistance through any season, without the use of auxiliary ground rods. Check Resistance on Single and Multiple Rods or Grids. Clamp-on Ground Resistance Testers are used in multi-grounded systems without disconnecting the ground under test. The AEMC 3711 simply clamps around the ground conductor or rod and measures the resistance to ground. By performing measurements on intact ground systems, the user also verifies the quality of the grounding connections and bonds. Resistance and continuity of grounding loops around pads and buildings may also be measured. Specifications. Ground Resistance Measurement Range: Autoranging 0.01 to 1200 ohm. Ground Resistance Resolution: 0.01 ohm (0.1 to 1.0 ohm), 0.1 ohm (1.0 to 50.0 ohm), 0.5 ohm (50.0 to 100.0 ohm), 1 ohm (100 to 200 ohm), 5 ohm (200 to 400 ohm), 10 ohm (400 to 600 ohm), 50 ohm (600 to 1200 ohm). Ground Resistance Accuracy: ± (2% + 0.02 ohm) (0.1 to 1.0 ohm), ± (1.5% + 0.1 ohm) (1.0 to 50.0 ohm), ± (2.0% + 0.5 ohm) (50.0 to 100.0 ohm), ± (3.0% + 1 ohm) (100 to 200 ohm), ± (6.0% + 5 ohm)(200 to 400 ohm), ± (10% + 10 ohm) (400 to 600 ohm), 25% of Reading ±50 ohm (600 to 1200 ohm). Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
