   SORENSEN DCS300-3.5E   Description / Specification:
SORENSEN DCS300-3.5E 300V 3.5A Single Output DC Power Supply

The Sorensen DCS300-3.5E DC System Power Supply is designed to provide highly stable, continuously variable output voltage and current for a broad range of development, system, and burn-in applications. The DCS Series employs high frequency switching regulator technology to achieve high power density and small package size. An automatic crossover system enables the unit to switch operating modes in response to varying load requirements. Features. Simultaneous digital display of both voltage and current. Ten turn potentiometer voltage and current controls permit high resolution setting of the output voltage and current from zero to the rated output. Flexible output configuration: multiple units can be connected in parallel or series to provide increased current or voltage. Remote sensing to compensate for losses in power leads. Remote voltage, resistive, current limit and OVP programming with selectable programming constants. Optional IEEE-488 interface for complete remote programming and readback capability. Specifications. Output Voltage: 0 to 300 V. Output Current: 0 to 3.5 A. Output Power: 1050 W. Line Regulation Voltage: 300 mV. Line Regulation Current: 3.5 mA. Load Regulation Voltage: 300 mV. Load Regulation Current: 3.5 mA. Meter Accuracy Voltage: 4.0 V. Meter Accuracy Current: 0.045 A. OVP Adjustment Range: 15 to 330 V. Crest Factor
Crest factor or peak-to-average ratio (PAR) is a measurement of a waveform, calculated from the peak amplitude of the waveform divided by the RMS value of the waveform

Linearity
Linearity is the relative difference between the displayed power ratio, Dx/D0, and the actual (true) power ratio Px/P0 caused by changing the displayed power level from the reference level, D0, to an arbitrary displayed level, Dx.

Phase Noise
Phase noise is the frequency domain representation of rapid, short-term, random fluctuations in the phase of a waveform, caused by time domain instabilities. Phase noise (L(f)) is typically expressed in units of dBc/Hz, representing the noise power relative to the carrier contained in a 1 Hz bandwidth centered at a certain offsets from the carrier.

Sensitivity
Sensitivity is the minimum magnitude of input signal required to produce a specified output signal having a specified signal-to-noise ratio, or other specified criteria.
