   TEKTRONIX CFG253   Description / Specification:
TEKTRONIX CFG253 Function Generator

The Tektronix CFG253 Function Generator produces sine, square, and triangle waves, and TTL signals for testing amplifiers, filters, and digital circuits. Sweep function can be controlled internally or with an external signal. Duty cycle, DC offset, sweep rate, sweep width, and amplitude are all operator controlled. Specifications. Waveform Outputs: Square wave, sine wave, triangle wave, TTL pulse, sweep functions for all outputs. Ranges: 1 Hz to 1.0 MHz in 7 ranges. Frequency Multiplier: Variable from 0.2 to 2.0 times the selected frequency range. Dial Accuracy: ±5% of full scale. Sine Wave Distortion: <1% (10 Hz to 100 kHz). Square Wave Response: <= 100 ns rise/fall time, maximum output into 50 ohm load. Main Output Amplitude: 0-20 V p-p. Attenuator: 20 dB. Internal Variable Sweep Rate. 0.5 Hz to 50 Hz. SYNC/TIL Output: TTL output level, rise <25 ns, (20 TTL load) >= 3 V p-p. Symmetry / Duty Cycle: 5 to 1 minimum symmetry change. Internal Variable Sweep Rate: 0.5 Hz to 50 Hz.

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the TEKTRONIX CFG253. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Crest Factor
Crest factor or peak-to-average ratio (PAR) is a measurement of a waveform, calculated from the peak amplitude of the waveform divided by the RMS value of the waveform

Linearity
Linearity is the relative difference between the displayed power ratio, Dx/D0, and the actual (true) power ratio Px/P0 caused by changing the displayed power level from the reference level, D0, to an arbitrary displayed level, Dx.

Phase Noise
Phase noise is the frequency domain representation of rapid, short-term, random fluctuations in the phase of a waveform, caused by time domain instabilities. Phase noise (L(f)) is typically expressed in units of dBc/Hz, representing the noise power relative to the carrier contained in a 1 Hz bandwidth centered at a certain offsets from the carrier.

Sensitivity
Sensitivity is the minimum magnitude of input signal required to produce a specified output signal having a specified signal-to-noise ratio, or other specified criteria.
