TEKTRONIX PS501-2 Dual Output Power Supply Plug-In

The Tektronix PS 501-2 Dual Output Power Supply Plug-In with Meter Readoutout can also be digitally displayed on the digital multimeter through this rear connector. A convenience when testing or measuring, the rear interface capability allows the engineer to accurately look at his voltage requirements. The TM 500 power supplies provide up to two independent voltages from one plug-in instrument. And each features a fixed 5-volt-at-1- amp supply for logic circuits or indicators plus one variable supply. For accurate setting and adjustment of the output voltage, our PS 501-1 precision supply features a multiturn potentiometer with mechanical digital readout. Fixed Output + 5 V, 1 A. Floating Output: 0-20 V. Current Limit: < 40 to 400 mA. Line Regulation: Within 5 mV for a ± 10% line voltage change. Load Regulation: Within 1 mV with a 400 mV load change. Ripple and Noise: 0.5 mV p-p or less; 0.1 mV rms or less. Temperature Coefficient: 0.01 %/C or less. Minimum Resolution: 1.6 mV. Voltage is selectable within 0.5% by a 10 turn potentiometer with a 3 digit in-line dial and range switch. Transient Recovery Time: 20 uS or less for a constant voltage to recover within 20 mV of nominal output voltage after a 400 mA change in output current. Meter: Dual range, 0 to 500 mA or 0 to 20 V dc. Accuracy, ±2% of full scale.Requires TM-Series Power Module

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
