Keysight (Agilent) N5762A Single-Output Switching Regulated DC Power Supply

The Agilent N5762A is a switching regulated, single-output programmable DC power supply. It provides stable output power, built-in voltage and current measurement. The N5762A provides up to 1320 W in a small space-saving 1U high, 19-inch wide package. Its air vents are in the front, side and rear (not on the top or bottom), so you can stack other instruments directly above or below it to save valuable rack space. It has a universal AC input so they can be automatically operated from any AC mains input worldwide. They can be operated from line voltages of 85 – 265 VAC, 47 to 63 Hz, with no switch to set or fuses to change when you switch from one voltage standard to another. They also provide power factor correction. To safeguard your device from damage, the N5762A power supply provides over-temperature, over-current and over-voltage protect (OVP) to shut down the power supply output when a fault occurs. They also offer an undervoltage limit (UVL) that prevents adjustment of the output voltage below a certain limit. The combination of UVL and OVP capabilities lets you create a protection window for sensitive load circuitry. Should you need greater output power, the Agilent N5762A power supply gives you the flexibility to connect in parallel up to four similarly rated units for greater output current and connect two similarly rated units in series for greater output voltage (see DC float voltage information). Load regulation (change from 10% to 90%): Voltage 2.8 mV / Current 38 mA. Transient response time: <= 1.5 ms. DC floating voltage: No output terminal may be more than ±60 VDC from any other terminal or chassis ground. I/O interface: GPIB, LAN, USB standard.

Line regulation is the capability to maintain a constant output voltage level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes to the input voltage level.

Peak Envelope Power
Peak envelope power is the maximum value of the envelope power. Envelope power is measured by making the averaging time much less than 1/fm where fm is the maximum frequency component of the modulation waveform. The averaging time is therefore limited on both ends: (1) it must be small compared to the period of the highest modulation frequency, and (2) it must be large enough to be many RF cycles long.
