TEKTRONIX 80A05 20 GHz Electrical Clock Recovery Module

The Tektronix 80A05 Electrical Clock Recovery Module will recover the clock from electrical data for all Tektronix electrical modules. The 80A05 Electrical Clock Recovery Module provides a solution for triggering the main instrument from single-ended or differential electrical signals. The 80A05 can also be used as a general purpose clock recovery solution. Mainframe interface: Tekprobe-Sampling, Level 3, Hot switching is not permitted. Number of inputs: 2. Input and output connectors: SMA. Data input/output coupling: DC. Maximum non-destruct range either inputs: 2.5 Vp-p. Maximum operating range single-ended operation either input: 2.0 Vpk-pk. Maximum operating range complementary operation each input: 1 Vp-p. Maximum DC offset: ±2.0 VDC. Electrical Return Loss Data in+, data in--,data out+, data out--: 15 dB or better (DC to 10GHz), 10dB or better (10GHz to 20GHz). Electrical data attenuation DC to 12.5 GHz: 6.6 dB ±0.6 dB. dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
