ANRITSU MS4623A 6 GHz Transmission/Reflection Analyzer

The Anritsu MS4623A 6 GHz, 2-Port, Transmission/Reflection Analyzer is a one path, two port network analyzer that satisfies high volume passive RF production requirements for stability, reliability, speed, dynamic range and accuracy. Typical Dynamic Range of 125 dB, fast Measurement Speed of 150 µsec/point. Specifications. Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 6 GHz. Source Power Range (No Options): +7 to –85 dBm. Level Accuracy: ±1 dB. Sweep Range: 20 dB Minimum. Harmonics: –30 dBc. Stability: <5 ppm / year. Receiver Average Noise, 10 Hz: –115 dBm (<3 GHz), –105 dBm (3 to 6 GHz). Receiver 0.1 dB Compression: +7 dBm. Receiver Maximum Input: +27 dBm. Receiver Damage Level: +30 dBm. System Dynamic Range (Terminated): 125 dB (10 to 3000 MHz), 110 dB (3000 to 6000 MHz). Averaging
Averaging is a mathematical process to reduce the variation in a measurement by summing the data points from multiple measurements and dividing by the number of points summed.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
