ANRITSU S251C   Description / Specification:   Spec Sheet
ANRITSU S251C 2.5 GHz Site Master Antenna and Cable Analyzer

The Anritsu S251C Site Master is a precision hand-held return loss/SWR and fault location measurement instrument. OSL calibration can be applied to all 1-port measurements (RL/VSWR/cable Loss/DTF) enabling accurate vector corrected measurements. Site Masters' SPA has dedicated routines for one-button measurements of field strength, channel power, occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR), Carrier-to-Interference, and interference analysis. Light weight, rugged design, and wide temperature range make them ideal for field applications. The S251C Site Master’s proprietary design provides superior immunity to on-channel RF interference, which is important for live site testing. Features. Accurate return loss/SWR and fault location measurements. Accurately tests RF transmission lines and antennas. Superior immunity to on-channel interference for testing at co-located antenna sites. Specifications. Frequency range: 625 to 2500 MHz. Frequency Resolution: 10 kHz. Frequency Accuracy (CW Mode): ± 75 parts per million. Display data points Selectable: 130, 259, 517. Immunity to interfering RF signals: +10 dBm (RF out), +30 dBc transmission (On-frequency), +17 dBm (On-channel). Return Loss Range: 0.0 to 54.00 dB, Resolution: 0.01 dB. VSWR: Range 1 to 65, Resolution: 0.01 dB. Cable loss: Range 0 to 54, Resolution: 0.01 dB. Distance-To-Fault (DTF) Vertical Range: Return loss, 0 to 54 dB; SWR, 1 to 65. DTF Horizontal range (meter): 0 to (# of data points –1) x horizontal resolution, where data points = 130, 259 or 517. Maximum Input (Damage Level) +20 dBm. Options. Option 5: Power Monitor to measure power – external detector needed. Option 10B: Built-in bias tee.

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the ANRITSU S251C. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Harmonic
A harmonic of a wave is a component frequency of the signal that is an integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, i.e. if the fundamental frequency is f, the harmonics have frequencies 2f, 3f, 4f, . . . etc.

Phase Noise
Phase noise is the frequency domain representation of rapid, short-term, random fluctuations in the phase of a waveform, caused by time domain instabilities. Phase noise (L(f)) is typically expressed in units of dBc/Hz, representing the noise power relative to the carrier contained in a 1 Hz bandwidth centered at a certain offsets from the carrier.
