   ANRITSU MA2444D   Description / Specification:
ANRITSU MA2444D 40 GHz High Accuracy Diode Sensor

The Anritsu MA2444D 40 GHz High Accuracy Diode Sensor is designed for use with the ML2430, ML2480 and ML2490 series power meters. They are designed for high dynamic range, high accuracy CW and TDMA measurements. With a built-in 3 dB attenuator, the MA2444D minimizes input SWR and is best used where the best measurement accuracy is required over a large dynamic range, as when measuring amplifiers. The MA2444D sensor has a dynamic range of 87 dB compared to the 90 dB dynamic range of MA247xD standard diode sensors. Specifications. Frequency Range: 10 MHz to 40 GHz. Dynamic Range: –67 dBm to +20 dBm. SWR: <1.90; 10 MHz to 50 MHz, <1.17; 50 MHz to 150 MHz, <1.08; 150 MHz to 2 GHz, <1.16; 2 GHz to 12.4 GHz, <1.21; 12.4 GHz to 18 GHz, <1.29; 18 GHz to 32 GHz, <1.44; 32 GHz to 40 GHz. Rise Time (the time interval necessary for the power sensor to rise from 10% to 90% of the reading when the signal rises instantaneously from zero (no power) to 1 mW (0 dBm) at room temperature): <0.004 ms. Sensor Linearity –67 to +20 dBm: 1.8% <18 GHz, 2.5% <40 GHz. RF Connector Type: K (m). Maximum Input Power: 23 dBm, CW; 30 dBm, 1 µs peak, ±20 Vdc.

Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Average Power
Average power means that the energy transfer rate is to be averaged over many periods of the lowest frequency involved. For a CW signal, the lowest frequency and highest frequency are the same, so average power and power are the same. For an amplitude modulated wave, the power must be averaged over many periods of the modulation component of the signal as well.

Harmonic
A harmonic of a wave is a component frequency of the signal that is an integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, i.e. if the fundamental frequency is f, the harmonics have frequencies 2f, 3f, 4f, . . . etc.

Phase Noise
Phase noise is the frequency domain representation of rapid, short-term, random fluctuations in the phase of a waveform, caused by time domain instabilities. Phase noise (L(f)) is typically expressed in units of dBc/Hz, representing the noise power relative to the carrier contained in a 1 Hz bandwidth centered at a certain offsets from the carrier.
