   ANRITSU MS2721B   Description / Specification:
ANRITSU MS2721B 7.1 GHz Handheld Spectrum / Base Station Analyzer

The Anritsu MS2721B 7.1 GHz Handheld Spectrum Analyzer / Base Station Analyzer has very wide dynamic range, allowing measurement of very small signals in the presence of much larger signals. These pictures show a measurement of a –114 dBm signal with and without the presence of a –22 dBm signal only 20 kHz away. The input attenuation value can be tied to the reference level, reducing the number of parameters a field technician may have to set. The RBW/VBW and the span/RBW ratios can be set to values that are best for the measurements being made, further easing the technician’s burden and reducing the chances of errors. Over 1000 traces with names up to 40 characters long may be saved in the 256 MB non-volatile compact flash memory. These traces can later be copied into a PC using the built-in USB 2.0 connector or the 10/100 Mbit Ethernet connection. Measurements may also be saved directly to Compact Flash or USB Flash Drive. Specifications. Spectrum/Interference Analyzer Frequency Range: 9 kHz to 7.1 GHz. Tuning Resolution: 1 Hz. 1 Hz to 3 MHz RBW Range. Adjacent Channel Power
Adjacent Channel Power is the power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.
