Keysight (Agilent) DSO5052A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) DSO5052A 2 Ch 500 MHz InfiniiVision Oscilloscope

The Agilent DSO5052A 500 MHz InfiniiVision oscilloscope offers responsive deep memory, fast update rates with minimal “dead time,” analog-like display systems, and integrated serial analysis. If you are characterizing signal jitter, a fast update rate gives you accurate results sooner. And when the fast update rate is combined with the 5000 Series’ XGA high-definition display (1024 x 768, 256 intensity levels), subtle differences in these acquisitions become obvious. The Agilent DSO5052A offers up to 12 bits of vertical resolution in real-time, single-shot mode. Analysis functions include subtract, multiply, integrate, and differentiate, as well as Fast Fourier Transforms (FFT). Specifications. Bandwidth: 500 MHz. Maximum sample rate: 4 GSa/s. Channels: 2 Ch 1 and 2 simultaneous acquisition. Memory: Up to 8 Mpts. Vertical resolution: 8 bits, up to 12 in high-resolution or averaging modes. Peak detection: 250 ps peak detect. Averaging: Selectable from 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 ... to 65536. Calculated rise time (= 0.35/bandwidth): 700 ps. Range: 2 mV/div to 5 V/div (1 Mohm or 50 ohm). Input impedance: 1 Mohm ± 1% || 12 pF or 50 ohm ± 1.0%, selectable. Horizontal Range: 1 nsec/div to 50 sec/div. Resolution: 2.5 psec. Trigger Sources: Ch 1, 2, line, ext. Display: 6.3-inch (161 mm) diagonal color TFT LCD. Option 080, 8 Mpts memory upgrade (from base 1 Mpts).

Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Channel Bandwidth
Channel Bandwidth is the bandwidth over which power is measured. This is usually the bandwidth in which almost all of the power of a signal is contained.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.

Rise Time
Rise time refers to the time required for a signal to change from a specified low value to a specified high value, usually 10 and 90 percent of pulse-top amplitude (vertical display is linear power).
