JDSU MAPL+2T1FA 1519 to 1630 nm Tunable Laser MAP

The JDSU MAPL+2T1FA Multiple Application Platform (MAP) Tunable Laser Cassette is a low ASE external cavity tunable diode laser that offers exceptional speed, accuracy and flexibility at a competitive price, making it the ideal source for advanced fiberoptic systems and component testing. The wide wavelength range enables testing over the entire C+L-band range with a single source, while its high speed, mode-hop-free sweeping not only reduces testing time, but permits process testing and alignment of components during manufacturing. As with all MAP cassettes, it may be seamlessly integrated with the extensive family of MAP cassettes, which enables complete custom solutions to be rapidly assembled and expanded as needed. Specifications. Wavelength Range: 1519 to 1630 nm, C + L-band. Wavelength Accuracy: ± 15 pm enhanced accuracy mode, ± 60 pm regular mode. Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL)
Polarization Dependent Loss is the difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss due to the variation of the polarization states of light propagating through a device. PDL is expressed in decibels. Calculated by; PDL = 10 log10 (Ep/Es), where EP and ES are the measured diffraction efficiencies for P- and S-plane polarized incident light, respectively.

Return Loss (RL)
Return Loss (RL) is the ratio of the incident power to the reflected power expressed in dB. RL = 10log (Pin/Pback)

Wavelength Resolution
Wavelength Resolution is the smallest possible displayed wavelength increment/decrement.
