   ROHDE & SCHWARZ FSIG13 (1119.6001.73)   Description / Specification:
ROHDE & SCHWARZ FSIG13 13 GHz Signal Analyzer

The Rohde & Schwarz FSIG13 (1119.6001.73) 13 GHz Signal Analyzer provides in a single unit comprehensive and easy-to-use measurement functions in the, frequency domain, time domain, modulation domain and code domain (cdmaOne forward channel). In the frequency domain, the FSIG 13 measures intermodulation and harmonics with great accuracy. The high 3rd-order intercept point in conjunction with the extremely low noise floor yields a wide intermodulation-free dynamic range and ensures reliable performance of even sophisticated measurements like spurious measurements. The maximum input frequency of 13 GHz allows even out-of-band spurious measurements. In the time domain, the FSIG 13 features all modern capabilities of burst analysis in TDMA systems; gate functions, trigger delay and integrated RF trigger in conjunction with a short sweep time of 1 µs ensure precise measurement of the timing characteristics of mobile radio systems. In the modulation domain, the integrated vector signal analyzer provides diverse measurements on GSM, EDGE, IS-136, cdmaOne, W-CDMA/ 3GPP signals. These convenient presettings make it superfluous for the user to spend valuable time in looking up specifications and go towards enhancing the measurement reliability. An optional application firmware FSIQ-K71allows power measurement in the 64 Walsh code channels of a cdmaOne signal (forward channel). The results can be output numerically or displayed as a bargraph. Features. Frequency range: 9 kHz to 13 GHz. Resolution bandwidth: 1 kHz to 10 MHz in 1/2/3/5 steps. 5-pole resolution filters with high selectivity. Displayed average noise floor typically -130 dBm in 1 kHz bandwidth. Third-order intercept +22 dBm. Phase noise -150 dBc(1 Hz) at 5 MHz offset. 75 dB ACPR dynamic range for W-CDMA (4.096 MHz integration BW). Total level uncertainty: <1 dB up to 2.2 GHz, <1.5 dB up to 7 GHz. RMS detector for high-precision power measurements irrespective of waveform. Fast time domain analysis with 1 µs zero span sweep time. Integrated broadband vector signal analyzer for GSM, EDGE, IS-136, cdmaOne, W-CDMA and 3GPP signals with versatile result display: I and Q signal, magnitude and phase, vector and constellation diagrams, tabular output with numerical values of modulation errors and demodulated bit sequence. Display: 24 cm colour diplay TFT (9.5"). Options Hardware. FSE-B13, 1-dB attenuator. FSE-B16, Ethernet Interface. FSE-B17, 2nd IEC/IEEE Bus Interface. FSE-B22, Increased level accuracy up to 2 GHz. FSIQ-B70, DSP and IQ memory extension 2x 512 k. Options Software. FSE-K10, GSM Application Firmware, Mobile. FSE-K11, GSM Application Firmware, BTS. FSIQ-K71, IS-95 Application Firmware, BTS (requires FSIQ-B70).

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
