Keysight (Agilent) 214A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 214A Pulse Generator

The HP Model 214A features 200 watts pulse power, controlled pulse shape, external trigger slope and level selection, and a 50-ohm source impedance for general purpose lab and production measurements, The 200-watt (2 amps peak) pulse power is particularly suited for testing current-driven devices such as magnetic memory cores, as well as high-power modulators. At outputlevels below 50 volts, the pulse generator has a matched source impedance of 50 ohms, eliminating error-producing reflections, The pulse characteristics are carefully controlled, to insure accurate, dependable test results. The 214A offers an extremely wide range of trigger control for syncing on external signals. In addition, slope and level may be selected so that triggering occurs at a given point on the trigger waveform. Also provided is a vrariable delay or advance trigger output signal for use in synchronizing external equipment. The pulse generator may be gated to provide bursts of pulses. This feature is especially useful for computer logic measurements. Also, a double t7ulse feature is provided for pulse resolution tests of amplifiers and memory cores.

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the Keysight (Agilent) 214A. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
