COPPER MOUNTAIN TECHNOLOGIES PLANAR R140   Description / Specification:
COPPER MOUNTAIN TECHNOLOGIES PLANAR R140 14 GHz USB Vector Reflectometer

The Copper Mountain Planar R140 is a PC-driven vector reflectometer that operates in the frequency range from 85 MHz to 14 GHz. It is designed for use in the process of development, production, and field testing of various electronic devices in multiple environments, including operation as a component of an automated measurement system. The Planar R140 connects directly to the DUT without the use of a test cable, so there is higher calibration stability in the test setup and the cost of accessory replacement is signifi cantly decreased. Specifications. Impedance: 50 ohm (75 ohm connectors via adapters). Test port connector: N-type, male. Number of test ports: 1. Frequency range: 85 MHz to 14 GHz. Full CW frequency accuracy: ±2.5 x10 ^-6. Frequency setting resolution: 10 Hz (85 MHz to 4.8 GHz), 25 Hz (4.8 GHz to 14 GHz). Number of measurement points: 2 to 16,001. Measurement bandwidths: 100 Hz to 30 kHz (with 1/3 step). Cable loss measurement range: 35 dB (85 MHz to 4.8 GHz), 30 dB (4.8 GHz to 14 GHz). Accuracy of reflection measurements from 85 MHz to 4.8 GHz (magnitude / phase): -15 dB to 0 dB (0.4 dB / 4°), -25 dB to -15 dB (1.5 dB / 7°). Accuracy of reflection measurements from 4.8 GHz to 14 GHz (magnitude / phase): -15 dB to 0 dB (1 dB / 7°), -25 dB to -15 dB (3.0 dB / 17°). Accuracy of transmission magnitude measurements -50 dB to 0 dB: 1.0 dB (85 MHz to 4.8 GHz). Trace noise magnitude (high output power, IF bandwidth 1 kHz): 0.005 dB rms (85 MHz to 4.8 GHz), 0.050 dB rms (4.8 GHz to 14 GHz). Test Port Output power: High level -10 dBm, typ. (4.8 GHz to 14 GHz), Low level -35 dBm, typ. (85 MHz to 4.8 GHz). Damage level: +23 dBm. Measurement time per point: 200 µs.

Standard Calibration $840.00 *
*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the COPPER MOUNTAIN TECHNOLOGIES PLANAR R140. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

Adjacent Channel Power
Adjacent Channel Power is the power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Overshoot
Overshoot is the distortion that follows a major transition; the difference between the peak power point and the pulse-top amplitude computed as a percentage of the pulse-top amplitude.
