Keysight (Agilent) 3478A 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 Digit Digital Multimeter

The HP 3478A provides a low cost, completely HP-IB programmable solution for system measurements. Selectable 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 digit resolution and 5 autoranging functions offer flexibility in automated testing. The HP 3478A can measure DCV, true RMS ACV, 2 and 4 wire ohms, and DC and AC current. The HP 3478A can perform production tests or acquire experimental data at 71 readings/sec with 3 1/2 digit resolution, or take 33 readings/sec with 130 dB of noise rejection using 4 1/2 digits. The 5 1/2 digit mode offers 100 nVDC and 100 micro-ohm resolution for precise measurements. True RMS with 300 kHz bandwidth and 4:1 crest factor provides reliable measurements of AC signals. dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
