Keysight (Agilent) 5303B   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 5303B Frequency Counter Module

The HP 5303B is a Frequency Counter Module that offers you a portable precision frequency counter which will measure frequencies to 525MHz (channel A 50ohm) and 50Hz to 80MHz (channel B 1 Mohm) and time intervals with 100 ns resolution. The 5303B also has autoranging. Autoranging enhances ease of operation by automatically selecting the correct gate time to fill the display. Any frequency within range of the 5303B may be applied and the counter will select the correct gate time up to 1 sec for maximum resolution without exceeding the display range. The 5303B is a Snap-together Modular Counter for Versatility and Non Obsolescence. 6-digit solid state LED display (gallium arsenide phosphide light-emitting diodes) including decimal point and annunciator units. LED light indicates when display range is exceeded.

Averaging
Averaging is a mathematical process to reduce the variation in a measurement by summing the data points from multiple measurements and dividing by the number of points summed.

Fall Time
Fall time is the time required for the amplitude of a pulse to decrease (fall) from a specified value (usually 90 percent of the peak value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot) to another specified value (usually 10 percent of the maximum value exclusive of overshoot or undershoot).

Noise Density
Noise Density is the amount of noise within a defined bandwidth, usually normalized to 1 Hz.

Resolution Bandwidth (RBW)
Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) is the minimum bandwidth over which you can separate two signals and still see them.
