Keysight (Agilent) 5344S   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 5344S Electronic Counter Microwave Source Synchronizer

The HP 5344S is an Electronic Counter Microwave Source Synchronizer that phase locks your microwave signal to a high stability quartz oscillator in the HP 5344S. This greatly increases the frequency accuracy and repeatability of the microwave source in CW or swept operation. The long-term frequency stability (5 X 10 -10/day) of your source now becomes comparable to that of a microwave synthesizer but at a much lower cost. The HP 5344S is a full rack system consisting of the HP 5344A Source Synchronizer and the HP 5342A 18 GHz Microwave Counter with an Option 001 High Stability Timebase and Option 011 HP-IB Interface (HP's implementation of IEEE Standard 488). These two half rack instruments are mechanically and electrically integrated at the factory. For applications requiring direct phase locked frequencies up to 26.5 GHz, the HP 5344S Option 043 is available which replaces the HP 5342A with the HP 5343A 26.5 GHz Microwave Counter. The HP 5344S Specifications Lock Input Frequency coverage: 500 MHz-18 GHz; 500 MHz-26.5 GHz (HP 5344S Option 043).

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the Keysight (Agilent) 5344S. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
