Keysight (Agilent) 5351B   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) 5351B 26.5 GHz CW Microwave Frequency Counter

The HP 5351B automatic CW microwave frequency counter measures to 26.5 GHz. With resolution as fine as 1 Hz, this counter provides fast and precise frequency measurements. By integrating all microwave components onto a single hybrid GaAs circuit, this counter offers high performance at a low price. Wide frequency coverage, exceptional sensitivity, fast tracking speed, high measurement throughput, and wide FM tolerance are a few of the high-performance features of this counter. With a built-in microprocessor, the HP 5351B has math capabilities such as measurement scaling and offset. These functions are useful for indirect measurements. Automatic amplitude discrimination automatically measures the frequency of the highest amplitude signal in a multi-signal environment. Other convenience features include diagnostic routines that perform tests on the counter for general information and troubleshooting. With high measurement throughput, the HP 5351B is an ideal component for test systems. It's English-like commands simplify systems integration by reducing programming time and effort. In automatic test systems, the programmable alphanumeric IIquid-crystal.dlsplay (LCD) can serve as a message center; if operational securIty is a concern, keyboard and display lockout can be activated. In noise-sensitive environments, you can put these counters in SLEEP mode to reduce kickback noise to as low as -70 dBm. Specifications Input 1; Frequency Range: 500 MHz to 26.5 GHz. Maximum Input: +7 dBm. SWR (typical): 500 MHz to 10 GHz: 2:1; (Option 002/006, 2.5:1), 10 GHz to 26.5 GHz: 3:1; (Option 002/006, 3.5:1). Coupling: dc to 50 ohm termination, ac to instrument. Accuracy: ± 1 LSD ± Timebase Error x Frequency. High-stability tlmebase (Option 010) has timebase uncertainties that are 1/10 of the values for the oven timebase (Option 001). LSD = least significant digit. Resolution: Selectable, 1 Hz to 1 MHz. Specifications Input 2; Frequency Range: 10 Hz to 525 MHz, 50 ohm: 10 MHz to 525 MHz, 1 M-ohm: 10 Hz to 80 MHz. Maximum Input: 50 ohm: + 10 dBm; 1 M-ohm: 1V rms. Coupling: ac. Accuracy: ±1 LSD ±((1.4 x Trigger Error) / Gate Time ± Timebase Error) x Freq. Resolution: Selectable, 1 Hz to 1 MHz. Display: Segmented 24-character alphanumeric LCD (backlighted)

dBm
dBm (sometimes dBmW) is an abbreviation for the power ratio in decibels (dB) of the measured power referenced to one milliwatt (mW). Zero dBm equals one milliwatt. A 3 dB increase represents roughly doubling the power, a 3 dB decrease, the power is reduced by about one half.

Millimeter-wave
Millimeter-wave is a term that generally refers to frequencies of 26.5 GHz and above. That is where signal wavelengths fall below approximately 10 mm, and thus the terminology changes from centimeters to millimeters.

Power Repeatability
Power Repeatability is the random uncertainty in reproducing the power level after changing and re-setting the power level. The power repeatability is ± half the span (in dB) between the highest and lowest actual power. Note: - The long-term power repeatability can be obtained by taken the power repeatability and power stability into account.

Stability
Stability is the extent to which a specified property, characteristic, or parameter of a substance, device, or apparatus, remains fixed with the passage of time or with varying environmental conditions.
