TREND NETWORKS NAVITEK NT Handheld Network Tester

Trend Networks’ NaviTEK NT (R153001) is a network tester for the troubleshooting and maintenance of active and passive copper and fiber networks. The device’s graphical interface helps network technicians pinpoint and solve network connectivity issues quickly. Generated test reports can then be saved as a pdf or csv file to be shared with colleagues and clients.

Accuracy
Accuracy is the degree of closeness of measurements of a quantity to that quantity's actual (true) value.

Jitter
Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Jitter is the time variation of a periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. Jitter may be observed in characteristics such as the frequency of successive pulses, the signal amplitude, or phase of periodic signals. Jitter is a significant, and usually undesired, factor in the design of almost all communications links (e.g., USB, PCI-e, SATA, OC-48). In clock recovery applications it is called timing jitter.

Receiver Sensitivity
Receiver Sensitivity is the optical power required by a receiver for low error signal transmission. In the case of digital signal transmission, the mean optical power is usually quoted in Watts or dBm (decibels referred to 1 milliwatt).
