Keysight (Agilent) 86109B 40 GHz Optical / 50 GHz Electrical Plug-in Module

The Agilent 86109B is a 1000 to 1600 nm (9/125 ┬Ám, user selectable) Plug-in for 86100 Infiniium DCA. Module incorporates a 40 GHz optical measurement channel and a 50 GHz electrical channel. The electrical channel also has a reduced bandwidth setting of 26.5 GHz for improved noise performance. The optical channel frequency response is designed to minimize distortion of the displayed optical pulse and does not include any provision for switching a SDH/SONET filter into the channel.

Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)

Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
