Keysight (Agilent) 972A Handheld Digital Multimeter

The HP 972A Multimeter has a 40 mV ac/dc range with 20 kHz bandwidth, capacitance and a dual display. The dual display allows the simultaneous reading of voltage and frequency. Min/Max with time stamp to monitor all types of measurements including temperature, Hold and Auto Hold for saving a reading manually or automatically and average to quiet noisy measurements. Auto diode reverses the leads for you to check semiconductor junction. a secondary digital display shows the range of the function or elapsed time in Min/Max, and auto power off turns off the meter after 30 minutes of inactivity, or defeat it for extended measurements. Averaging
Averaging is a mathematical process to reduce the variation in a measurement by summing the data points from multiple measurements and dividing by the number of points summed.
