Keysight (Agilent) E3633A   Description / Specification:
Keysight (Agilent) E3633A Single Output Dual-range DC Power Supply

The HP E3633A is a single output, dual range programmable dc power supplies designed to deliver reliable and high quality operation. 0.01% load and line regulation keep the output steady. The linear supply specifies both normal-mode voltage noise and common-mode current noise. The low normal-mode specification assures clean power for precision circuitry and the low common-mode current provides isolation from power line current injection. Both voltage and current can be monitored simultaneously for output from the front panel on an easy-to-read vacuum fluorescent display. A knob allows you to set the output at the resolution you need for the most exacting adjustments, quickly and easily. Store and recall key enables you to save and recall up to three frequently-used states. The output on/off button enables/disables the output. All the outputs are isolated from the chassis ground and from the remote interface. Specifications. DC Output Low Range/High Range: 0 to 8 V, 20A / 0 to 20 V, 10 A. Load and line regulation Voltage: < 0.01% + 2 mV. Load and line regulation Current: < 0.01% + 250 µA. Ripple and noise (20 Hz to 20 MHz) Normal-mode: < 350 µV rms / 2 mV p-p (Voltage), < 2 mA rms (Current). Ripple and noise (20 Hz to 20 MHz) Common-mode Current: <1.5 µA rms. Programming accuracy (25° C ±5° C): 0.05% + 10 mV (Voltage), 0.2% +10 mA (Current). Readback accuracy (25° C ±5° C): 0.05% + 5 mV (Voltage), 0.15% +5 mA (Current). Resolution Program/readback: 1 mV, 1 mA / 0.5 mV, 1 mA. Resolution Meter: 1mV, 1 mA (<10A),10 mA (>=10A). Transient Response Time: 50 µsec for output to recover to within 15 mV following a change in output current from full load to half load or vice versa. GPIB/RS-232 standard.

dBc
dBc (decibels relative to the carrier) is the power ratio of a signal to a carrier signal, expressed in decibels. If the dBc figure is positive, then the relative signal strength is greater than the carrier signal strength. If the dBc figure is negative, then the relative signal strength is less than carrier signal strength.

Load Regulation
Load regulation is the capability to maintain a constant voltage (or current) level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes in the supply's load (such as a change in resistance value connected across the supply output).

Power Linearity
When changing the power level and measuring the differences (in dB) between actual and displayed power levels, the power linearity is ± half the span (in dB) between the maximum and the minimum value of all differences.

Settling Time
Settling time of an output device is the time elapsed from the application of an ideal instantaneous step input to the time at which the amplifier output has entered and remained within a specified error band, usually symmetrical about the final value.
