ANRITSU MS9710B 600 to 1750 nm Diffraction-grating Optical Spectrum Analyzer

The Anritsu MS9710B is a diffraction-grating spectrum analyzer for analyzing optical spectra in the 0.6 to 1.75 µm wavelength band. In addition to uses such as measurement of LD and LED spectra, it has functions for measuring the transmission characteristics of passive elements such as optical isolators, as well as the NF/Gain of optical fiber systems. The MS9710B has achieved an improved S/N over a wide range by taking thorough countermeasures to noise and stray light. The RMS noise level at wavelengths from 1.25 to 1.6 µm is -90 dBm max. Specifications. Wavelength: 600 nm to 1750 nm. Wavelength accuracy: ±0.2 nm (after Wcal (Ext), ±0.3 nm (600 to 1750 nm). Sweep Width: 0.2 to 1200 nm, 0 nm. Resolution accuracy: 1550 ±20 nm Center Wavelengths. Dynamic range of 70 dB (1 nm from peak wavelength), 60 dB (0.5 nm from peak wavelength). Option. Option 02: White light source. Chromatic Dispersion

Jitter in technical terms is the deviation in or displacement of some aspect of the pulses in a high-frequency digital signal. Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) is a form of modal dispersion where two different polarizations of light in a waveguide, which normally travel at the same speed, travel at different speeds due to random imperfections and asymmetries, causing random spreading of optical pulses. It is he difference between the maximum and minimum values of loss typically measured in ps/km^1/2.
