   FLUKE 6060B   Description / Specification:
FLUKE 6060B 1050 MHz Synthesized RF Signal Generator

The Fluke 6060B Synthesized RF Signal Generator is a solution for most general purpose RF testing needs. Built-in diagnostics and error code displays provide immediate feedback of incorrect operation. Also, the generator performs a series of internal digital and analog tests at power-up and isolate problem areas immediately via a coded display on the front panel. These internal checks may be accessed and initiated at any time from the front panel. Special service and troubleshooting test routines are contained within the unit to aid in calibration and maintenance. Specifications. Frequency Range: 0.01 to 1050 MHz. Resolution: 10 Hz. Switching Speed: <100 ms to be within 100 Hz of final frequency. Reference Output Frequency: 10 MHz, sinewave; Level: 0 dBm min into 50 ohm; Source Impedance: 50 ohm nominal. External Reference Input Frequency: 1, 2, 2.5, 5, 10 MHz; Input Level: 0.3 to 4V pk-pk, sinewave or squarewave; Input Impedance: 50 ohm nominal. Amplitude Range: -127 to + 13 dBm (+ 13 dBm peak on AM), with overrange to + 19 dBm and underrange to -147 dBm. Amplitude Resolution: 0.1 dB. Output VSWR: < 1.5:1 for amplitude <+ 1 dBm, < 2.0:1 for amplitude >+ 1 dBm. Amplitude Switching Speed: <100 ms typical (within 0.1 dB of selected value). Level Flatness: ±0.5 dB. AM Depth: 0 to 99% in 1% steps. AM Accuracy: ±(2% + 4% of setting). Frequency Modulation Deviation Ranges: 100 to 999 Hz, 1 to 9.99 kHz, 10 to 99.9 kHz. FM Deviation Accuracy: ±7% for rates of 0.3 to 20 kHz for carrier frequency greater than 400 kHz, FM deviation > 100 Hz. AF Bandwidth: 0.02 to 100 kHz (3 dB). Distortion: Less than 1 % THD for 0.3 to 20 kHz rates, FM deviation> 100 Hz (effects of Residual FM excluded). Options. Option -130: High Stability Crystal Oscillator. Available Gain
Available Gain is the ratio, at a specific frequency, of power available from the output to the power in from the source.

Decibel (dB)
A unit of measurement of power which indicates relative power. A -10 dB means a reduction in power by 10 times, -20 dB means another 10 times or 100 times overall, -30 means another 10 times or 1000 times overall and so on.

Mismatch Uncertainty
Mismatch Uncertainty is caused by re-reflections between one device (the source) and the device that follows it (the load).

Pulse Power
Pulse Power, the energy transfer rate is averaged over the pulse width. Pulse width is considered to be the time between the 50 percent risetime/falltime amplitude points. Pulse power averages out any aberrations in the pulse envelope such as overshoot or ringing.
