   FLUKE 1550B   Description / Specification:
FLUKE 1550B 5000V MegOhmMeter

The Fluke 1550B MegOhmMeter provides for powerful troubleshooting and predictive maintenance capability. Features. Standard test voltages of 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V and 5000 V for a wide range of equipment testing. Programmable test voltages available in 50 volt steps from 250 to 1000 volts and 100 volt steps from 1000 to 5000 volts. Automatic calculation of Dielectric Absorption (DAR) and Polarization Index (PI) with no additional setup. Easy set-ups save time and effort when conducting “timed” and “ramp” test of insulation breakdown. Improved ramp function (0 to 5000 V dc) for breakdown testing. Autodischarge of capacitive voltage. Measures resistances up to one teraohm. Measures cable or insulation capacitance and leakage current. Warning voltage function alerts the user that voltage is present and gives the voltage reading up to 600 V ac or dc. Guard system eliminates the effect of surface leakage current on high-resistance measurements. Measurements can now be stored in up to 99 memory locations, with each location assigned a unique, user defined, four character (alpha-numeric) label for easy recall. Specifications. Insulation Resistance Measurement Test Voltage (dc): 250 to 5000 V. Insulation Resistance Measurement Ranges: 200 kohm to 1 Tohm. Short circuit current: greater than 1 mA and less than 2 mA. Bargraph range: 0 to 1 Tohm. Insulation test voltage accuracy: -0 % to +10 % at 1 mA load current. Induced ac mains current rejection: 2 mA maximum. Charging rate for capacitive load: 5 seconds per µF. Leakage current Range: 1 nA to 2 mA, (Accuracy ± (5 % + 2 nA)). Capacitance measurement Range: 0.01 uF to 15.00 µF, (Accuracy ± (15 % rdg + 0.03 µF)). Live circuit indicator Range: 30 V to 600 V ac/dc, 50/60 Hz (Accuracy ± (5 % + 2V)).

*This is a Web introductory price for one calibration of the FLUKE 1550B. Price does not in most cases include measurement performance data. Pricing does include NIST traceable calibration and issue of a calibration certificate and calibration label. Pricing may vary slightly due to volume and location of laboratory supporting calibration. Volume pricing may apply. On-site fees may apply depending on logistics, location and volume of work to be completed during the visit.

dBc
dBc (decibels relative to the carrier) is the power ratio of a signal to a carrier signal, expressed in decibels. If the dBc figure is positive, then the relative signal strength is greater than the carrier signal strength. If the dBc figure is negative, then the relative signal strength is less than carrier signal strength.

Load Regulation
Load regulation is the capability to maintain a constant voltage (or current) level on the output channel of a power supply despite changes in the supply's load (such as a change in resistance value connected across the supply output).

Power Linearity
When changing the power level and measuring the differences (in dB) between actual and displayed power levels, the power linearity is ± half the span (in dB) between the maximum and the minimum value of all differences.

Settling Time
Settling time of an output device is the time elapsed from the application of an ideal instantaneous step input to the time at which the amplifier output has entered and remained within a specified error band, usually symmetrical about the final value.
