General description of the used ILX LIGHTWAVE LDX-3220 for sale.
The ILX Lightwave LDX-3220 is part of the 3200 series laser diode drivers. It removes much of the signal noise and transients that would be amplified by a laser diode and be detrimental to its output. The drive current can range from 0 to 500 mA with an intermediate range of 0 to 200 mA. In the 0 to 200 mA range, the output resolution is 4 micro-amps, with an output accuracy of +/- 0.05%. In the 0 to 500 mA range, the output resolution is 10 micro-amps, with an accuracy of +/- 0.05%. The compliance voltage is adjustable from 0 to 10 V with a resolution of 50 mV and an accuracy of +/- 2 mA on the 0 to 200 mA range, and +/- 5 mA on the 0 to 500 mA range. The temperature coefficient for both output ranges is under 50 ppm per degree centigrade. The output is stable on both ranges to less than 10 ppm after a one hour period of operation. The output long-term stabiliy (24 hour) is under 20 ppm. In high-bandwidth mode, there is less than 4 micro-amps of noise and ripple on the 200 and the 500 mA range. In low-bandwidth mode, there is less than 2 micro-amps of noise and ripple on both output ranges. Operational transients on both output ranges are as low as 1 mA or below. The surge-dependant transients for both output ranges are under 12 mA. The laser drive current limit can be set anywhere in a range from 1 to 202 mA on the 200 mA range, and in a range of 1 to 505 mA on the 500 mA output range. The limit can be adjusted in 1 mA increments on the 200 mA range, and in 2.5 mA increments on the 500 mA range, with an accuracy of +/- 2 mA and +/- 5 mA respectively. The photodiode feedback is differential and adjustable from 0 to 5 V, with a current range from 5 to 5000 micro-amps. The output is stable to +/- 0.02% on both output ranges, and has a set point accuracy of +/- 0.05%. The external analog modulation input allows for the output current to be controlled and modulated using an outside source. The source bandwidth in high-bandwidth mode can range from Dc to 1 MHz, or DC to 15 kHz in low-bandwidth mode. Modulation input voltage can range from 0 to 10 V from a 1 k-ohm source. The 3220 has a TTL output trigger with a 13 micro-second pulse width, available for both output ranges with a delay of 12 ms. The display resolution is 0.01 mA, with displayed values having an accuracy of +/- 0.05% FS. The photodiode current can be displayed on a range from 0 to 5000 micro-amps, with a resolution of 1 micro-amp and an accuracy of +/- 2 micro-amps. Photodiode responsivity can range from 0 to 1000.00 micro-amps/mW with a resolution of 0.01 micro-amp/mW. Displayed optical power can range from 0 to 505.00 mW with a 0.01 mW resolution. Forward voltage can be displayed in a range of 0.00 to 10.000 V with a 1 mV resolution, accurate to +/- 2 mV.
