General description of the used WANDEL & GOLTERMANN OLS-16 for sale.
The WG OLS-16 Optical Laser Source is optimized for field measurements on single-mode systems. Source type: FP laser. Wavelength: 1310 ±20 nm. FWHM spectral width: < 5 nm. Output power (CW) into 9/125 mm fiber: -7 dBm (class 1 laser as per IEC 825). Total output power uncertainty in range -10 to +50 8C, incl. connector error. ±1 dB. Output signal stability (valid for CW and modulated signals): Short-term (15 min, -10 to +50 C, Delta t = +0.3 K) ±0.02 dB typ. Modes: continuous wave output signal, square-wave modulation (270 Hz, 1 kHz or 2 kHz, selectable). Universal adapter system handles the common fiber optical connector systems, such as FC, SC and DIN. The internal connector is also easily accessible for inspection and cleaning. The laser source can be powered with dry batteries or NiCd cells. The instrument can be AC powered and NiCd batteries fitted in the instrument can also be recharged.
