The JDSU MAPS+1W Multiple Application Platform (MAP) Prism Based Switch Cassettes are low-cost switch cassettes that can be configured in the following ways: 1x2 (1 or 2 switches per cassette), 1x4 (1 or 2 switches per cassette), or 2x2 (1 or 2 switches per cassette). The MAP SW cassettes redirect input light by an optical prism into a selected output channel. The switch cassettes are bidirectional, transparent to signal format, and available in both single-mode and multimode versions. The MAP chassis can hold up to eight MAP SW cassettes, for a total of 16 switches in a single chassis. Depending on the cassette configuration, one MAP controller can control up to 128 individual MAP SW switches simultaneously. Key Features. Low insertion loss < 0.8 dB. Low polarization dependent loss 0.07 dB. High return loss > 55 dB. Optical input power 300 mW.
