The Ando AQ3150 is a highly precise optical variable attenuator, ideal for measurements of optical loss characteristics and transmission error rate in evaluating single-mode fiber-optic communications equipment. The Ando AQ3150 contains a step attenuator for precise optical level adjustments up to 60dB in 0.001 dB steps. The Ando AQ3150 is available in three types; Basic, With monitor output and High return loss type. Specifications. Wavelength: 1200 nm to 1650 nm. Max. attenuation: 60 dB. Attenuation Deviation: ±0.1 dB. Repeatability: ±0.01 dB. Minimum Attnuation Step: 0.001 dB. Switching Time: 500 ms. Inserton Loss: 2.5 dB max. (2.5 dB max. for monitor output type). Return Loss: 45 dB min. (60 dB min. for High return loss type). Maxmum Input Power: +23 dBm. Shutter Isolation: 100 dB. Applicable fiber: SM (10/125 um). GP-IB, complies with IEEE-488.
