used AGILENT 8504B
for sale.
The HP 8504B precision reflectometer can make accurate measurements using sm 9/125 micrometer fiber and components. Measurements range from reflections within lightwave components, differential path length failure mode analysis, differential propogation delay in multiple or birefringent devices and source coherence functions. There are two internal wavelength sources, 1300 and 1550 nm. Peak wavelengths for both sources can occur within +/- 30 nm of center. The spectral width for both sources is 55 nm. Return loss can be measured across a range from 10 to 80 dB on both wavelength sources to an accuracy of +/- 2 dB. For measurements of closely spaced reflections, the spatial resolution at 1300 nm is 17 micrometers. The spacial resolution at 1550 nm is 44 micrometers. The 8504B can also measure two events at varying relative distances. For a measurement span of 1 to 10 mm, measurements are accurate to +/- 2% of span. For a measurement span of 10 to 400 mm, measurements are accurate to +/- 1% of span. The full measurement span is 1 to 400 mm, but can be extended with provided extension cables. The Agilent 8504B has low level spurios response, with levels >65 dB below largest reflection at 1300 and 1550 nm. The sweep speed is 18 mm/sec. The unit also comes with one 1 meter fiber optic cable pair, and FC/PC front panel adapter, FC/PC barrel, and a low-reflection termination. Option 001 adds 6 fiber-optic cable pairs, .5 to 1.75 meters, an FC/PC barrel, and a cable fixture tray
